About the Position

Applications are invited for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I under the ANRF-funded research project titled:

"Increasing Power Output and Lifespan of Photovoltaic Panel with Natural Evaporative Cooling Using Earthenware Devices."

The selected candidate will work on solar photovoltaic cooling technologies, photovoltaic thermal systems, outdoor experimentation, simulation, and renewable energy research. Based on eligibility and institute regulations, the candidate may also register for a Ph.D. programme at NIT Kurukshetra.


Roles & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Conduct outdoor experimental research on photovoltaic systems.
  • Perform simulation and analysis of photovoltaic thermal systems.
  • Carry out research experiments related to natural evaporative cooling.
  • Collect and analyse experimental data.
  • Assist in achieving project objectives and deliverables.
  • Prepare technical reports and research publications.
  • Support project documentation and research activities.
  • Pursue doctoral research if admitted under institute regulations.

Who Can Apply

Applicants must possess:

Essential Qualification

  • Full-Time B.E./B.Tech. in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Production & Industrial Engineering
    • Energy Science & Engineering
    • Renewable Energy Systems

AND

  • Full-Time M.E./M.Tech. in:
    • Mechanical Engineering (All Specializations)
    • Energy Science & Engineering
    • Renewable Energy Systems
  • Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (out of 10).

Final-year M.Tech./M.E. students are also eligible subject to submission of a provisional degree certificate before the interview.

Fellowship & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

  • ₹30,000/month (1st & 2nd Year)

Eligibility Criteria

Full-Time B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Energy Science & Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems (or specified specializations) with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA. Final-year M.Tech./M.E. students may also apply.
