About the Fellowship

BITS Pilani invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the Department of Biological Sciences under the ANRF-funded research project titled:

"Understanding the role of Innate Lymphoid Cells (ILCs) in driving intestinal inflammation and colorectal cancer."

The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Dr. Arundhoti Das (Principal Investigator) in the broad research area of Immunology. The fellowship offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge biomedical research while gaining valuable laboratory experience. The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for the Ph.D. programme at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, subject to institute rules.

Fellowship Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

  • ₹37,000 + HRA (₹44,400 per month) for the 1st and 2nd Year
  • ₹42,000 + HRA (₹50,400 per month) for the 3rd Year

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences,

OR

  • Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through any one of the following:
    • CSIR-UGC NET including Assistant Professorship
    • GATE
    • National-level examinations conducted by Government agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IITs, IISc, IISER, or equivalent institutions.

  • Online/Personal Interview at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus.
  • Final selection based on academic qualifications, research experience, and interview performance.

Eligibility Criteria

Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences or Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course with valid national-level qualifying examination as prescribed in the notification.

Test Scores Accepted

CSIR-UGC NET GATE National-level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IITs, IISc, IISER, or equivalent Government agencies.
