About the Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at MANIT Bhopal invites applications for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the DST–ANRF sponsored research project titled:

"Hydrodynamic Analysis and Biosensor Design Using Non-uniform Cantilever Beams Resonator in Newtonian and Non-Newtonian Fluids: Analytical, Numerical and Experimental Studies."

The selected candidate will work on interdisciplinary research involving MEMS, biosensors, fluid mechanics, computational engineering, and experimental validation. The appointment is initially for one year and may be extended based on satisfactory performance up to the project duration.

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Conduct analytical, numerical, and experimental research.
• Design and develop MEMS-based biosensors.
• Perform fluid-structure interaction studies.
• Develop and validate prototypes.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and operate data acquisition systems.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports.
• Support interdisciplinary research involving mechanics, electronics, materials, and computational engineering.
• Publish research findings in reputed journals and conferences.

Who Can Apply

Eligible candidates should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electronics, Physics, Agriculture, Mathematics, or related specializations.
• OR B.E./B.Tech. / Integrated Professional Degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 and a valid GATE qualification.
• Relevant specialization in Design, Thermal Engineering, Tribology, Embedded Systems, Electronics, Materials, Manufacturing, or related fields is desirable.

Fellowship & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

• ₹37,000 per month + HRA as Junior Research Fellow.
• ₹42,000 per month + HRA after promotion to Senior Research Fellow (subject to eligibility and performance).
