Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess any of the following:

• Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science

OR

• Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course such as:
  • Biotechnology
  • Biological Sciences
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • Related disciplines

Selection Eligibility

Candidates should have qualified through one of the following:

• CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship)
• GATE
• National-level examinations conducted by Central Government agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IITs, IISc, IISERs, NISER, or equivalent organizations.

Preferred Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Peptide synthesis
• Peptide biophysical characterization
• Protein expression and purification
• Protein characterization
• Protein-based assays
• Spectroscopic and microscopic analysis
• Scientific communication and report writing

Roles & Responsibilities

The selected Junior Research Fellow will be responsible for:

• Synthesizing and characterizing peptides.
• Performing protein expression, purification, and biochemical assays.
• Conducting aggregation and inhibitor optimization studies.
• Carrying out spectroscopic and microscopic analyses.
• Managing research data and laboratory records.
• Preparing project reports and presentations.
• Maintaining laboratory operations and documentation.

Fellowship

Candidates without GATE/NET

• ₹23,213 per month (Consolidated)

Candidates with GATE/NET Qualification

• ₹36,000 per month
• HRA: ₹5,000 per month (as applicable)

Project Duration

• Initial appointment from the date of joining for 6 months.
• The fellowship may be extended based on project requirements and satisfactory performance.
