Eligibility Criteria

The prescribed minimum qualifications, experience and credit-point requirements are based on the applicable NIT Statutes and Government of India regulations.

Essential Qualification for New Entrants

All new entrants are required to have:

• A Ph.D. in the relevant/equivalent discipline, and
• First Class in the preceding degrees from Bachelor's degree onwards.

All degrees should be obtained from institutions or universities recognized by the relevant authorities, as specified in the notification.

Faculty Pay Levels and Entry Pay

Professor

Candidates require a Ph.D. along with the prescribed experience and 80 cumulative essential credit points.

Associate Professor

Candidates require a Ph.D., prescribed teaching/research/industry experience and 50 cumulative essential credit points.

Assistant Professor Grade-I

Candidates require a Ph.D., along with the prescribed experience requirements and 20 cumulative essential credit points.

Assistant Professor Grade-II

Candidates require a Ph.D.. The notification specifies the applicable entry requirements under the NIT faculty recruitment rules.

Selection Process

The NIT Goa faculty selection process includes:

Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a lecture in the respective department on a core undergraduate subject using a blackboard/whiteboard.
