Candidates must have an excellent academic record throughout their professional career and fulfil the prescribed qualification and experience requirements.

Assistant Professor Grade I

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• A Ph.D. in the appropriate discipline.
• First Division in the preceding degree or equivalent qualification.
• An excellent academic record throughout their professional career.

Experience Requirement

Candidates should have at least:

3 years of teaching, research and/or industrial experience after defending the Ph.D. thesis.

Experience gained while pursuing the Ph.D. programme will not be considered towards the required post-Ph.D. experience.

Assistant Professor Grade II

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess:

• A Ph.D. in the appropriate discipline.
• First Division in the preceding degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience Requirement

Candidates having less than 3 years of post-Ph.D. experience will be considered for an Assistant Professor Grade II contractual appointment.
