The Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. DIPR undertakes research in psychology and related areas relevant to defence personnel and organisations.

DIPR has released Advertisement No. DIPR/HRD/JRF/REC/2026/01, dated September 22, 2026, for the engagement of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Research Associate (RA).

A total of 5 research positions are available under this recruitment.

Recruitment Details

Vacancy Details

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Vacancies: 4 Posts

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess:

• Post Graduate degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology / Applied Psychology
• First Division
• Valid NET qualification, such as UGC-NET / CSIR-NET

Age Limit:

Maximum 28 years as on the date of the walk-in interview.

Fellowship:

₹37,000/- per month + applicable HRA as per DRDO rules.

2. Research Associate (RA)

Vacancies: 1 Post

Candidates should satisfy either of the following eligibility routes:

Route 1:

• Ph.D. in Psychology / Applied Psychology

OR

Route 2:

• M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology
• 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after M.A./M.Sc.
• At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal

Age Limit:

Maximum 35 years as on the date of the walk-in interview.

Remuneration:

₹67,000/- per month + applicable HRA as per DRDO rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be through a walk-in personal interview.

Candidates will undergo initial screening and document verification before appearing for the personal interview. Final selection will be made as per the prescribed DRDO/DIPR criteria.

How to Attend the Walk-in Interview

Eligible candidates should download and complete the prescribed application form and report personally at the Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR), Lucknow Road, Timarpur, Delhi – 110054, on October 20, 2026, between 09:00 AM and 10:30 AM.

Candidates should bring the required original certificates and one complete set of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents.

Documents to Carry

Candidates should carry:

1. Duly filled prescribed application form.
2. Original educational certificates and marksheets.
3. Class 10 certificate.
4. Class 12 certificate.
5. Graduation degree and marksheets.
6. Post-Graduation degree and marksheets.
7. NET certificate/scorecard, wherever applicable.
8. Ph.D. degree/certificate, wherever applicable.
9. Experience certificates, wherever applicable.
10. Research publication details/paper, wherever applicable.
11. Recent passport-size photographs.
12. Valid Government-issued photo ID.
13. Caste/category certificate, if claiming age relaxation.
14. One complete set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
