Post Details

Position: Assistant Professor (Contractual) Department: Linguistics & Language Technology (LLT) No. of Positions: 02 Specializations: Syntax, Cognitive Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Morphosyntax, General Linguistics Duration: 11 months or until regular vacancies are filled (extendable based on performance and requirement)

Eligibility Criteria

• Option A: Ph.D. in advertised subject/specialization with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in Master’s degree in relevant/allied subject.

• Ph.D. must comply with UGC Regulations (2009/2016). For candidates registered before July 11, 2009, additional conditions apply (regular mode, external evaluation, open viva, publications, conference presentations).

• Option B: Ph.D. from a foreign university ranked among top 500 globally (QS, THE, ARWU).

Salary / Funding

• Fixed emolument: ₹80,000 per month (no additional allowances).

Selection Process

• Shortlisting based on academic score (UGC Regulations, 2018 Appendix II, Table 3A).

• Interview performance will determine final selection.

• Candidates must submit Annexure I & II forms along with testimonials.

• Eligible candidates will appear physically before the Selection Committee (date notified later).
