Pay Levels (7th CPC):

• Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10–12 (₹68,800 – ₹79,800 basic)

• Associate Professor: Academic Level 13A–13A2 (₹1,31,400 – ₹1,39,600 basic)

• Professor: Academic Level 14 (₹1,44,200 basic)

Annual CTI (Cost to Institute):

• Assistant Professor: ₹15–19.5 lakh (without/with HRA)

• Associate Professor: ₹28–31.8 lakh (without/with HRA)

• Professor: ₹30.8–32.7 lakh (without/with HRA)

Eligibility Criteria

Professor

• Education: Ph.D./DPhil in relevant area.

• Experience: 10 years post‑Ph.D. teaching/research, with 5 years as Associate Professor or equivalent. Relaxation up to 3 years for exceptional candidates.

• Doctoral Supervision: 4 completed Ph.D. theses.

• Publications: 20 top refereed SCI/SCIE/AHCI/Q1 journal papers or equivalent mix of journals/conferences. Relaxation for patents/high‑value contributions.

• Projects: At least 2 externally funded major research projects.

Associate Professor

• Education: Ph.D./DPhil in relevant area.

• Experience: 6 years post‑Ph.D. teaching/research, with 4 years as Assistant Professor or equivalent. Relaxation up to 3 years for exceptional candidates.

• Doctoral Supervision: 2 completed Ph.D. theses.

• Publications: 10 top refereed SCI/SCIE/AHCI/Q1 journal papers or equivalent mix. Relaxation for patents/high‑value contributions.

• Projects: At least 1 externally funded major research project.

Assistant Professor

• Education: Ph.D./DPhil in relevant area.

• Publications: At least 3 top refereed SCI/SCIE/AHCI/Q1 journal papers or equivalent mix (1 journal + 2 conferences acceptable).

Salary / Funding

• As per 7th CPC Academic Levels (10–14).

• DA currently 53%.

• CTI ranges from ₹15 lakh to ₹32 lakh annually depending on level and HRA.

Selection Process

• Screening of applications based on eligibility.

• Interview by Faculty Recruitment Panel.

• Exceptional candidates may be recommended higher CTI within the academic level.
