Position Overview

SLU is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Department of Plant Biology for a research project investigating chromatin dynamics during extreme desiccation tolerance. The selected researcher will study chromatin organization, epigenetic regulation, and transcriptional mechanisms that enable plants to survive severe dehydration and recover after rehydration using advanced molecular biology and microscopy techniques.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should have:

• PhD or equivalent in Plant Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Genomics, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques.
• Experience in chromatin biology, epigenetics, genomics, microscopy, or plant molecular biology is desirable.
• Good scientific writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Research experience of approximately 4–10 years.
