About the Organization
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) supports rural development, food security and investment initiatives aimed at improving the lives of rural communities and small-scale producers.
About the Call for Proposals
IFAD is inviting proposals to implement the initiative “Leveraging IFAD’s Rural Sector Performance Assessment for Policy and Investment.”
The initiative focuses on enhanced policy assessment to support evidence-based, country-level policy and investment environments for rural development.
Grant financing of up to US$1.2 million is available.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants may include:
- Non-profit organizations
- Private sector companies
- Universities
- Think tanks
- Research institutes
- Consortia of eligible organizations
The selected recipient must provide a counterpart contribution of at least 20% of the IFAD grant amount. Cash or private-sector contributions must be at least 25% of the IFAD grant amount. In-kind contributions may also be considered.
How to Apply
Applicants should prepare the required proposal documents, including:
- Project proposal using the Grant Concept Note Template
- Detailed budget using the activity-based budget template
- Self-certification of eligibility for IFAD grant financing
- Institutional profile and relevant experience
