Eligibility Criteria

Academic Requirements

• Open to all disciplines
• Strong academic and research background required

Nationality

• Open to all international applicants
• German citizens are generally not eligible (exceptions apply)

Residency Rule

• Must not have stayed in Germany for more than 90 days in the last 18 months

Language Requirement

• Good command of English or German
• German required only if necessary for the research field

Host Requirement

• Applicants must secure a host researcher in Germany who will support their proposal
