About Post and Position

IIT Jodhpur has released a rolling advertisement for recruitment to the posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor Grade I and Assistant Professor Grade II.

Recruitment is being conducted across multiple departments including:

• Bioscience and Bioengineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Materials Engineering
• Mathematics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Environment and Sustainability
• School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
• School of Management and Entrepreneurship
• School of Design

Foreign Nationals may be appointed on a contractual basis for three years. Applications are accepted throughout the year under the rolling recruitment process.

Departments and Research Areas

The institute is recruiting in several specialized research areas including Biomedical Engineering, Hydrogen and Clean Energy, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Human Resource Management, Finance, Aerospace Engineering, Sustainability, Design, Materials Engineering, Statistics and many other emerging disciplines.

Exceptional candidates from related disciplines may also be considered depending on departmental requirements.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess a PhD with First Division in the relevant discipline or equivalent qualification along with an excellent academic record throughout their career.

Minimum experience requirements are:

• Professor: Minimum 10 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, including at least 4 years at Associate Professor level or equivalent.
• Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years of teaching, research or industrial experience, including at least 3 years at Assistant Professor level or equivalent.
• Assistant Professor Grade I: Minimum 3 years of post-PhD teaching, research or industrial experience.
• Assistant Professor Grade II: PhD with excellent academic record. Candidates with less than three years of post-PhD experience may be considered for contractual appointment.

Salary and Benefits

Approximate monthly gross emoluments are:

• Professor: ₹2,88,886
• Associate Professor: ₹2,54,176
• Assistant Professor Grade I: ₹1,86,358
• Assistant Professor Grade II: ₹1,31,890

Faculty members are also eligible for benefits including relocation reimbursement, research initiation grant up to ₹25 lakh, CPDA support, international mobility grant, medical benefits, education allowance, transit accommodation and pension benefits as per institute norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess the prescribed PhD qualification with excellent academic performance and the required teaching, research or industrial experience for the respective faculty level.
