About Post

The School for Business and Society is recruiting a Lecturer in Human Resource Management for its People, Work and Employment group. This is a full-time Grade 7 teaching and research position based at the University of York campus.

The selected candidate will conduct original research and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Responsibilities include designing learning experiences, setting and marking assessments, supervising student projects, contributing to curriculum development, preparing research proposals, pursuing external funding and publishing research.

The annual salary for the position is £46,049 to £56,535. Job Reference Number is 15122.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should hold a PhD in Management, Human Resource Management, Employment Studies or a closely related discipline, or possess equivalent experience.

Candidates should have an academic professional teaching qualification or be willing to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

Applicants should demonstrate specialist knowledge in Human Resource Management or Employment Studies, a strong research record, and experience of teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

Strong written and oral communication skills, research proposal development ability and a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary academic work are also required.
