About the Position

The Faculty of Economics and Business is seeking an outstanding Postdoctoral Researcher to work on assessing emerging sustainable technologies under conditions of high uncertainty. The research focuses on developing innovative methods to evaluate early-stage sustainable technologies, considering technical performance, environmental impact, economic feasibility, stakeholder perspectives, and societal acceptance.

The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers, contribute to scientific publications, engage with industry and policy stakeholders, and support the development of evidence-based decision-making frameworks for sustainability transitions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interdisciplinary research on sustainable technology assessment.
  • Develop methodologies for evaluating emerging technologies under uncertainty.
  • Analyze environmental, economic, and societal impacts of new technologies.
  • Publish research in leading international journals.
  • Collaborate with academic, industry, and policy partners.
  • Present research at conferences and workshops.
  • Support project reporting and dissemination activities.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement and sustainability policy discussions.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

  • A PhD in Sustainability, Engineering, Economics, Innovation Studies, Environmental Science, Technology Management, Public Policy, Operations Research, or a closely related field.
  • Strong research experience in sustainability assessment or technology evaluation.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary research.
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an international research environment.

Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Salary: €3,548 – €5,538 per month (depending on qualifications and experience).
