Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Department: Mechanical Engineering Project Title: Design and predict applicability of aluminium-based high entropy alloy foams and sandwich structures for leading edge and fuselage aerospace applications Funding Agency: Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR&DB), DRDO, Government of India Principal Investigator: Dr. Neeraj Srivastava, Assistant Professor, DoME, SVNIT Surat (Mobile: 9696350479) Duration: One year (extendable based on performance and availability of funds) Number of Posts: 01 Nature of Appointment: Purely temporary, co-terminus with project Ph.D. Opportunity: Selected candidate may register for Ph.D. at SVNIT as per institute norms
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial & Production, Metallurgy, Applied Mechanics, Aerospace Engineering, or relevant professional courses related to the project area.
B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, Metallurgy, or allied branches.
Mandatory qualification: GATE score or selection through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government agencies (DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.).
Experience Requirements
Desirable: Experience in manufacturing metallurgy, solidification processing, modelling, microstructural and mechanical characterizations.
Salary / Funding
Fellowship: ₹37,000 per month + 16% HRA (as per revised DST-JRF/SRF norms).
