DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory – Cognitive Technologies JRF Recruitment 2026

The DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory – Cognitive Technologies (DYSL-CT), Chennai, under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, has invited applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

There are two major eligibility categories.

Category A – Computer Science / Information Science

Candidates must possess either:

B.E./B.Tech in:

  • Equivalent discipline

AND

A valid GATE / CSIR-UGC NET qualification.

OR

M.E./M.Tech in the relevant Computer Science / Information Science / Engineering discipline.


Category B – Electrical / Electronics

Candidates must possess:

B.E./B.Tech in:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Telecommunication Engineering
  • Instrumentation Engineering
  • Equivalent discipline

AND

A valid GATE / CSIR-UGC NET qualification.

OR

M.E./M.Tech in the relevant Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication or Instrumentation discipline.


Desirable Skills

Candidates having additional knowledge or experience in the following areas will be preferred:

Age Limit

Age Relaxation

Fellowship / Stipend

The selected candidate will receive:

₹37,000 per month + HRA

The fellowship will be paid according to the applicable DRDO fellowship rules.
