The Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), Kanpur, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has invited eligible candidates for temporary research positions of Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF).

Vacancy Details

Total Vacancies: 03

Research Associate (RA) – 01 Post

• Discipline: Chemistry
• Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also appear, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 02 Posts

Relevant disciplines include:

• Chemistry
• Material Science
• Polymer Science
• Chemical Engineering
• Chemical Technology
• Material Science & Engineering

Eligibility

For Basic Sciences, candidates should have a relevant postgraduate degree in First Division with NET qualification.

For Professional Courses, candidates should have either:

• First Division B.E./B.Tech. with NET/GATE, or
• First Division M.E./M.Tech. at both Graduate and Postgraduate levels.

Candidates applying for the Research Associate position should fulfil the prescribed Ph.D./equivalent qualification requirements.

 Fellowship

Selected candidates will receive an attractive research fellowship:

Research Associate (RA)

₹67,000/month + HRA

 Annual contingency grant: up to ₹20,000

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
₹37,000/month + HRA
Annual contingency grant: up to ₹15,000

Age Limit

As on the date of interview:

• Research Associate: Maximum 35 years
• Junior Research Fellow: Maximum 28 years

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

Selection Process

The recruitment will be conducted through a Walk-in Interview.

Candidates will be required to appear before the selection committee along with their original documents. Eligibility and credentials will be verified before/at the time of the interview.

Nature of Appointment

These are temporary research fellowship positions and do not provide any right to permanent employment or regular absorption in DRDO.

The fellowship/appointment will be governed by the applicable DRDO and Government of India rules.
