ISRO ISTRAC | Apprentice | Recruitment 2026 for Graduate, Diploma & ITI Apprentices

Overview

About the Organization

ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) is one of the major centres of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) under the Department of Space, Government of India. ISTRAC is responsible for providing telemetry, tracking, command, mission support, satellite operations, launch vehicle tracking, and deep space network services for India's space missions. The centre plays a vital role in supporting ISRO's satellite launches, planetary missions, navigation systems, and space exploration programs. Working at ISTRAC offers candidates the opportunity to gain practical exposure to advanced space technologies while contributing to India's growing space programme.

About the Apprenticeship

ISRO ISTRAC has invited applications for its 2026–27 Apprenticeship Training Programme under the Apprentices Act. The apprenticeship provides one year of practical industrial training to fresh graduates, diploma holders, and ITI pass-outs in relevant disciplines. Selected apprentices will receive hands-on training from experienced ISRO scientists and engineers while working on real projects related to satellite communication, mission support, tracking systems, electronics, software, mechanical systems, and other engineering activities.

The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial practice by providing structured technical training in one of India's premier space organizations. Apprentices will develop professional skills, gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and improve their employability in the aerospace, defence, research, and engineering sectors. Successful completion of the apprenticeship provides valuable industry experience, although it does not guarantee regular employment with ISRO.
