About the Organization
The Global South–Japan Tech Talent Internship (GS-JTI) is an initiative supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Government of Japan, and administered by Deloitte Tohmatsu Venture Support Co., Ltd. The program aims to connect talented STEM students and recent graduates from Global South countries with innovative Japanese companies while strengthening international collaboration in advanced technologies.
About the Internship
The GS-JTI 2026 Internship offers international participants an opportunity to gain practical industry experience with Japanese companies working in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Semiconductor Engineering, Data Science, and other STEM domains.
Participants work on real industry projects, interact with experienced mentors, learn Japanese workplace culture, and develop technical as well as professional skills. The program also serves as a pathway toward future employment opportunities with Japanese companies.

Who Can Apply?
Applicants should:
- Be students or recent graduates (within the last three years).
- Be pursuing or have completed studies in STEM disciplines.
- Be from eligible OECD DAC List countries (including India and many Global South countries, excluding China).
- Reside outside Japan.
- Possess good English communication skills.
- Be willing to actively participate throughout the internship.
- Be interested in pursuing future career opportunities with Japanese companies.
