The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), located in Nagarbhavi, Bangalore, was established in 1987 to pioneer legal education in India. About Position

Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor (Public Policy) on a contract basis for a period of two years (with a probation period of one year). There are 2 Unreserved vacancies available. Indicative subject areas include Policy Communication, Project Management, Negotiation & Leadership, and Public Finance. Selected candidates will engage in full-time teaching, course design, student consultation, research, and institutional administration.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential Qualification: A Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale) from a recognized University/Institute. Relaxation of 5% at the graduate and master's level is provided for SC, ST, and PwD categories.

  • Necessary Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills to handle academic care and administrative duties for undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Desirable Criteria: High-quality academic publications, demonstrated academic excellence, higher education teaching evidence, and a strong research record.

Selection Process

Applications will be evaluated against essential and desirable eligibility criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated through email for an Interview round.
