Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess:

• Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
• Excellent academic record throughout.
• Relevant teaching, research, or industrial experience as applicable to the respective faculty level.

Experience Requirements

Assistant Professor Grade I

• Minimum 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or professional experience.

Assistant Professor Grade II

• Fresh Ph.D. graduates or candidates meeting institute criteria may apply.

Associate Professor

• Minimum 6 years of post-Ph.D. experience, including at least 3 years at the Assistant Professor level or equivalent.

Professor

• Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. experience, including at least 4 years as Associate Professor or equivalent with demonstrated leadership in research and teaching.

Specific eligibility varies by department and academic unit.

Salary

Salary, allowances, academic incentives, research support, relocation benefits, and startup research grants will be provided as per IIT Bombay and Government of India norms applicable to the respective faculty level.
