About Position

NIF invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to various scientific positions including Scientist 'D', Scientist 'C', and Scientist 'B' on a direct recruitment basis.

Vacancies Breakdown

• Scientist 'D' (Pay Level 12): 01 Post (UR)

• Scientist 'C' (Pay Level 11): 04 Posts (UR - 01, OBC - 02, SC - 01)

• Scientist 'B' (Pay Level 10): 05 Posts (UR - 04, OBC - 01)

Qualifications & Experience

• Scientist 'D' (PC-01):

  • Ph.D. in Biological / Environmental / Agricultural / Veterinary / Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.

  • 5 years of R&D experience in the relevant field.

  • Minimum 5 original published works in reputed national/international journals.

• Scientist 'C' (PC-02 to PC-04):

  • Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences / Production & Industrial / Mechanical / ECE / Biological / Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.

  • 3 years of R&D experience in the relevant field.

  • Minimum 3 original published works in reputed journals.

• Scientist 'B' (PC-05 to PC-08):

  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline OR First Class Master's Degree in Biotechnology / Veterinary Sciences or equivalent (discipline dependent).

  • Minimum 2 original published works in reputed journals.

Age Limit (as on closing date)

• Scientist 'D': Upper age limit not exceeding 40 years.

• Scientist 'C': Upper age limit not exceeding 35 years.

• Scientist 'B': Upper age limit not exceeding 35 years.

• Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process

1. Screening and shortlisting of applications based on essential qualifications and experience.

2. Written test (if deemed necessary by NIF to shortlist candidates).

3. Personal Interview before the Selection Committee.

• SC / ST / PwBD / Women Candidates: Exempted from fee payment
