Job Details

Cisco is inviting applications for the position of Software Engineer within its Enterprise IT DevOps (EDaaS) team. The selected candidate will support DevOps engineering, CI/CD automation, infrastructure management, Kubernetes environments, and platform reliability while collaborating with software development and infrastructure teams.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of Linux/Unix administration experience.
• 3–4 years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, Groovy, etc.).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Git and GitHub.
• Experience administering Enterprise Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
• Experience building Docker images and containers.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Puppet or Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred qualifications include:

• AWS services (EC2, RDS, ELB, EKS).
• Red Hat OpenShift.
• Security best practices for DevOps.
• Networking fundamentals (OSI Layers, DNS, Reverse Proxy, Nginx, HAProxy, Apache).
• Agile software development methodologies.
