About the Fellowship

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ANRF-sponsored research project titled "Predictive Mechanistic Modeling of Resin Fouling in Fibro PrismA Chromatography from Cycling Studies."

The project is being conducted in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at IIT Patna and focuses on therapeutic protein purification, chromatography processes, biochemical analysis, and predictive modelling techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research related to protein purification and chromatography.
  • Perform biochemical and molecular biology experiments.
  • Analyze research data and develop predictive models.
  • Assist in project execution and technical reporting.
  • Prepare research publications and presentations.
  • Collaborate with research team members and project investigators.
  • Support experimental design and process optimization activities.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates possessing B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech qualifications in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or allied disciplines can apply.

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

  • Downstream processing of therapeutic proteins
  • Molecular biology
  • RT-PCR
  • SDS-PAGE
  • HPLC-based sample analysis
  • Mathematical modelling
  • Bioprocess engineering
  • Therapeutic protein manufacturing processes

Financial Support

Fellowship Amount: ₹37,000 (JRF) / ₹42,000 (SRF) + HRA Per Month

Eligibility Criteria

First Class B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or allied disciplines with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CPI.
OR
M.E./M.Tech in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related disciplines with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CPI.
Candidates having experience in downstream processing of therapeutic proteins, molecular biology, biochemical analysis techniques, mathematical modelling, and therapeutic protein bioprocessing will be preferred.
