Post Details

VNIT Nagpur invites applications from currently working Professors of the Institute for appointment to the position of Deputy Director. The appointment will be made based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee under Statute 23(5)(a) of the NIT Statutes. The initial tenure is three years, extendable by one year twice based on the recommendation of the Board.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should:

• Be currently serving as Professor at VNIT Nagpur.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as Professor.
• Be not more than 60 years of age on the date of application.
• Have completed at least 2 years as Head of Department or Dean.
• Demonstrate significant contributions in academics, administration, and outreach activities.
• Possess an outstanding academic record and be eminent in their field of specialization.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years as Professor.
• Minimum 2 years as HoD or Dean.
• Proven experience in academic leadership, institutional administration, and outreach activities.

Salary

Salary and service conditions will be governed by the provisions of the NIT Act and NIT Statutes.
