About Post

IIM Kashipur has released Advertisement No. AA-07/2026 for engagement of Academic Assistant and Academic Associate positions in the Economics Area.

Selected candidates will assist faculty members in teaching, evaluation, development of courses and teaching materials, attendance marking and assessment of class participation. Responsibilities may also include invigilation, research, consultancy projects, Management Development Programmes, secretarial assistance and other academic activities.

The appointment is purely contractual for one year from the date of joining. It may be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance and institute requirements, generally for a maximum period of three years.

Eligibility Criteria

For the Academic Assistant position, applicants must have a first-class postgraduate qualification. Candidates must have a BSc or BA in Economics, MSc or MA in Economics, or both. Relevant academic or industry experience and MPhil or higher qualifications will be preferred.

For the Academic Associate position, candidates must hold a PhD in the relevant area.

The preferred age is below 35 years as calculated on the last date of application submission.

Postgraduate candidates with the required Economics educational background can apply for the Academic Assistant position.

PhD holders in the relevant area can apply for the Academic Associate position. Candidates interested in academic support, teaching, research and consultancy activities may apply if they meet the prescribed qualification requirements.

Academic Assistants can receive ₹27,500 to ₹32,000 per month based on relevant experience. Academic Associates can receive ₹33,000 to ₹39,000 per month based on relevant experience.

The contractual appointment may be renewed annually based on satisfactory performance and institute requirements.
