Registration is to be completed through the Samarth Portal.

Hard Copy Document Submission
After completing the online registration, candidates are required to submit the prescribed documents in hard copy to the concerned department.
The document submission window is:
25 August 2026 to 09 September 2026
Documents should be submitted on working days only, during the department's office working hours.
Candidates may be required to submit documents such as:
- Printed Samarth application form
- Mark sheets
- NET certificate
- GSET certificate
- GATE certificate, wherever applicable
- Category certificate
- Other required supporting documents
Candidates should ensure that all documents are submitted to the concerned department within the prescribed period.
Ph.D. Entrance Examination Pattern
The Gujarat University Ph.D. entrance examination will be based on an MCQ format.
Total Questions: 100
The question paper will be divided into two major sections:
