Program Details
Program Name: IITB Research Internship Awards 2026–27 Duration: 4–6 months (full‑time) Stipend: ₹15,000 per month Accommodation: Campus accommodation available on a shared basis for non‑Mumbai candidates (subject to availability). Objective: To engage enthusiastic young minds in cutting‑edge research projects at IIT Bombay. Outcome: Hands‑on exposure to advanced research, professional development, and contribution to national and global scientific goals.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to external students (UG/PG) applying for specific research projects listed on IITB’s internship portal.
Candidates must apply for projects of interest and undergo a rigorous selection process.
Number of interns restricted to the number of projects available.
Selection Process
Online application via IITB Internship Portal.
Shortlisting based on project requirements.
Interviews conducted between 26 October – 5 November 2026.
Final results declared on 10 December 2026.
Joining between 21 December 2026 – 20 January 2027 (exact date coordinated with faculty in‑charge).
