Internship Overview

The External Student Internship Programme provides students with an opportunity to undertake internships, summer training, research work, and academic projects at IIRS. The programme enables students to work under the supervision of experienced scientists and faculty members while gaining practical exposure to advanced geospatial technologies and space applications. Selection depends on academic merit, availability of projects, research facilities, and faculty supervision.


Programme Details

IIRS offers two opportunities under the External Student Programme:

1. Internship Scheme

  • Open to UG, PG, and PhD students.
  • Minimum internship duration: 45 days.
  • Applicant must have a minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32 on a 10-point scale.

2. Student Project Trainee Scheme

Who Can Apply

Applications are invited from:

  • Indian citizens.
  • UG, PG, and PhD students studying at recognized universities or institutions in India or abroad.
  • Students from Science and Technology disciplines.
  • Candidates having at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
  • Students meeting the academic eligibility for their respective programme.
