About CASDIC, DRDO

Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC) is a laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.

CASDIC is involved in research, development, integration and related activities associated with combat aircraft systems and advanced defence technologies. The internship programme provides eligible students an opportunity to gain exposure to research and technical activities in a DRDO laboratory environment.

DRDO CASDIC Paid Internship Scheme 2026

CASDIC, DRDO, Bengaluru, has released Advertisement No. CASDIC/HRG/PDINTERN/2026/01, dated September 14, 2026, inviting applications for its Paid Internship Scheme 2026.

A total of 30 Paid Intern positions are available across different engineering and science disciplines.

Educational Qualification

For Undergraduate Students

Candidates applying under the undergraduate category should be final-year B.E./B.Tech students in the relevant discipline.

Candidates should have:

• Minimum aggregate CGPA of 7.5 or equivalent.
• The required academic performance should be based on all previous semesters.
• The candidate should be studying in an institution approved/recognized by the appropriate authority such as AICTE/UGC.
• The engineering discipline should correspond to the internship area specified in the advertisement.

For Postgraduate Students

Candidates applying under the postgraduate category should be 2nd-year M.Sc. students in the relevant discipline.

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 70% marks in the 1st-year examination.
• The candidate should be studying in an AICTE/UGC-approved or recognized institution.
• The course/discipline should be relevant to the internship requirements.

Candidates should check the official notification for the detailed discipline-wise requirements before applying.

Age Limit

The maximum age of the candidate should be 25 years as on the prescribed application cut-off date.

Candidates claiming any applicable age relaxation should refer to the official advertisement for the relevant provisions.

Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of:

₹5,000 per month

The internship is a paid internship opportunity under CASDIC, DRDO.

The internship is scheduled to commence from:

December 01, 2026

Selection Process

The selection process may include the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications

Applications will initially be screened based on academic performance, including the CGPA/marks obtained in previous examinations.

2. Online Interview / Interaction

Shortlisted candidates may be called for an online interview or interaction, if required.

3. Document Verification

Candidates selected for the internship will be required to produce/submit the necessary academic and institutional documents for verification.

Selection will be subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and other conditions prescribed by CASDIC, DRDO.
