Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Professor Grade I
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree.
- Excellent academic record.
- Minimum 3 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research/professional experience (excluding Ph.D.).
- Strong research publications in reputed journals/conferences.
Assistant Professor Grade II
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
- Candidates meeting all criteria except the required post-Ph.D. experience for Grade I may be considered.
- Placement in Academic Level 10 or 11 based on postdoctoral experience.
Salary Details
Assistant Professor Grade I
- Pay Level 12
- ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400
- Eligible for movement to Academic Level 13A1 (₹1,31,400 – ₹2,04,700) after three years subject to assessment.
Assistant Professor Grade II

- Pay Scale: ₹57,700 – ₹98,200
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹70,900

Academic Level 11
- Progression based on post-Ph.D. experience.
- Basic Pay up to ₹87,300 as per institute norms.
