About the Organization
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Originating from the Pleaders' Survey Training School established in 1886, the institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Science, Technology, and Humanities. The Department of Architecture and Planning, established in 1979, is the first institution to introduce architectural education in Bihar and offers B.Arch., M.Arch., MURP, and Ph.D. programmes.
