Indian Air Force AFCAT 02/2026 Recruitment: Apply Online for Flying & Ground Duty Officer Posts

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the AFCAT 02/2026 Notification for recruitment into Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) branches as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers.

Applications are invited from eligible unmarried Indian men and women candidates through AFCAT Entry, NCC Special Entry, and GATE Score Entry. Selected candidates will commence training from July 2027.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfill age limits, educational qualifications, and physical standards as prescribed by the Indian Air Force.

Age Limit:
• Flying Branch: 20 to 24 Years
• Ground Duty Branches: 20 to 26 Years

Educational Qualification:
• Flying Branch: Graduation/BE/B.Tech with Physics & Mathematics at 10+2 level
• Technical Branch: Engineering Degree in relevant discipline
• Non-Technical Branches: Graduation/Post-Graduation in relevant streams

Selection Process:
• Online AFCAT Examination
• Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview
• Medical Examination

Exam Pattern:
• Duration: 2 Hours
• Total Questions: 100
• Maximum Marks: 300

• Reasoning & Military Aptitude

Marking Scheme:
• +3 Marks for Correct Answer
• -1 Mark for Wrong Answer

Salary & Benefits:
• Training Stipend: ₹56,100 per month
• Pay Scale After Commissioning: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500
• Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month
• Insurance Cover: ₹1.25 Crore
