DRDO DIHAR Paid Internship 2026-27 for B.E./B.Tech Students | ₹5,000 Monthly Stipend | Apply Before 05 June 2026

The Defence Institute of High Altitude Research (DIHAR), operating under the Defence Research and Development Organisation, has announced its Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27 for undergraduate engineering students. DIHAR is a specialized DRDO research laboratory located in Leh, Ladakh, focusing on high-altitude technologies, cold-arid region research, testing, and defence-related scientific innovations.

Applications are invited from eligible B.E./B.Tech students currently studying in the 7th or 8th semester from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions. The internship aims to provide practical exposure to defence research and advanced technological development while allowing students to work directly with experienced DRDO scientists and engineers.

The internship duration is six months, during which selected candidates will undertake research and project activities at DIHAR Leh or DIHAR Base Station Chandigarh. Students selected under the program will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000, paid as per the institute's internship guidelines. A completion certificate will be awarded after successful completion of the internship tenure.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must:

• Be Indian nationals.
• Be pursuing B.E./B.Tech in the relevant discipline.
• Be studying in the 7th or 8th semester.
• Have a consistently strong academic record.
• Maintain a minimum 7.5 CGPA or equivalent in all previous semesters.
• Be enrolled in an AICTE/UGC-approved institution.
