The Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), functioning under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has announced its Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27 for meritorious engineering and science students. DEAL is one of DRDO’s leading laboratories engaged in advanced research and development in the fields of Software Defined Radios (SDR), Satellite Communication (SATCOM), Data Links, Network-Centric Warfare Systems, and Surveillance Technologies.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian students pursuing the final year of B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.Sc (Electronics) programs from recognized universities and institutes. The internship is designed to provide hands-on research exposure, practical project experience, and an opportunity to work directly with DRDO scientists on cutting-edge defence technologies.

The internship duration is six months, during which selected students will participate in ongoing defence research projects at DEAL, Dehradun. Interns will gain experience in communication systems, embedded technologies, networking, defence software platforms, signal processing, and electronic warfare-related domains.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must:

• Be Indian nationals.
• Be pursuing the final year of B.E./B.Tech, M.Tech, or M.Sc (Electronics).
• Be enrolled in a recognized institution or university.

• Submit a recommendation letter from the Head/Dean/Principal of the institution.
• Provide a brief biodata/write-up along with the application.
