Salary Structure
Grade 6 (Research Assistant):
£33,951 – £37,694 per annum

Eligibility Criteria
Research Assistant (Grade 6)
Educational Qualification:
- Honours Degree (SCQF Level 10) in Electronics, Physics, Nanotechnology, or related disciplines
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Quantum computing hardware fundamentals
- Josephson junction devices
- Cryogenic electronics
- High-frequency characterization techniques
- Micro/Nanofabrication systems
- CMOS or FPGA systems
- Data analysis and simulation tools
- Machine learning applications in quantum device design
Research Associate (Grade 7)
Educational Qualification:
- Ph.D. (SCQF Level 12) or equivalent professional research experience in quantum electronics or cryogenic systems
Required Experience:
- Independent research experience
- Publication record in reputed journals
- Experience in quantum circuits and cryogenic measurements
- Research proposal and funding support activities
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research activities under Principal Investigator Dr. Kaveh Delfanazari
- Develop and test low-temperature quantum electronic systems
- Prepare technical reports and research papers
- Publish findings in high-impact journals
- Present research outcomes at national and international conferences
- Support mentoring and supervision of undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students
