Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, one of India’s premier Central Universities, has officially announced Faculty Recruitment 2026 through Advertisement No. RC/75/2026.
The university is inviting applications from highly qualified Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) for teaching positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in various academic disciplines and schools.

Professor
Candidates must fulfill either of the following:
Option A
- Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline
- Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or indexed journals
- Research score of 120 as per UGC Regulations 2018
- Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience
- Evidence of successful Ph.D. guidance
Option B
- Outstanding professional with Ph.D. in relevant/applied disciplines
- Significant contribution to the discipline with documentary evidence
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
Associate Professor
- Ph.D. Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks
- Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience
- Minimum 7 research publications in indexed journals
- Research score of 75 as per UGC norms
Assistant Professor
- Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks
- NET/CSIR-NET/SLET/SET qualification mandatory
- Ph.D. holders under UGC Regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET
