About the Recruitment
CSIR-NCL is inviting applications for temporary project positions under the sponsored project titled "Continuous Process for Preparation of p-Amino Phenol (PAP) from p-Chloro Nitro Benzene (PNCB)" in the Chemical Engineering & Process Development (CEPD) Division.
The recruitment includes the following positions:
- Project Associate-II – 3 Posts
- Principal Project Associate – 1 Post
The selected candidates will work on advanced research involving catalyst development, process intensification, continuous process technology, and chemical process scale-up. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to work on industrially relevant research projects with experienced scientists in one of India's leading research laboratories.
About the Position
The recruited professionals will contribute to research and development activities focused on chemical process optimization, catalyst development, and continuous manufacturing technologies. The project aims to develop efficient and scalable industrial processes for the preparation of p-Amino Phenol using modern chemical engineering approaches.
Candidates will participate in laboratory research, pilot-scale process development, process optimization, experimental analysis, technical documentation, and collaborative research activities. The positions offer valuable exposure to industrial research methodologies and advanced process engineering techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates may be involved in:
- Process scale-up and optimization.
- Catalyst development and evaluation.
- Process intensification studies.

Who Can Apply?

- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or Technology
- M.Tech / Integrated Master's in Chemical Engineering or Technology
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry
- Ph.D. in relevant Science disciplines (for Principal Project Associate)
Relevant research or industrial experience in process engineering, catalyst development, process intensification, and chemical manufacturing will be preferred.

Salary

Project Associate-II
- ₹35,000 + HRA (for NET/GATE or equivalent qualified candidates)
- ₹28,000 + HRA (for other eligible candidates)

Principal Project Associate
- ₹49,000 + HRA
Salary will be paid according to CSIR project guidelines.
