Qualifications & Experience
Eligibility Criteria:
Superannuated or retired faculty/scientists from reputed Indian institutions, research laboratories, or private institutions.
Overseas scientists i.e. Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs).
Senior industry professionals / experienced Professors of Practice with a distinguished record of research and innovation (industry and international senior professionals with a minimum of 55 years of age may apply).
Applicants must have strong research credentials, be actively involved in research/innovation activities, and demonstrate a strong commitment to mentor faculty at eligible host institutions.
Applicants must be willing to relocate to the proposed host institution on a full-time basis and have a proper plan to contribute significantly to its R&D capabilities.
Age Limit: Minimum 55 years of age on the date of application. There is no upper age limit.
Selection Process
Proposals are evaluated by a designated selection committee based on academic/professional credentials, distinguished research records, potential impact, novelty, and innovativeness of the proposed R&D strategy at the host institution.
Evaluation considers the research performance of the target host departments over the last 5 years (SCI publications/patents, external grant funding, and consultancy).

Superannuated/retired eminent scientists, senior professors, NRIs/PIOs/OCIs, and experienced industry senior leaders willing to mentor emerging/state universities and relocate on a full-time basis.
